Alright the more I think about it the more strongly I feel about that dual memories idea and the more attached to it I become tbh. This opens a lot of avenues to explore and I think the way I want to play off the ripple effect is to have Doc slowly starting to get memories of the old timeline as everything rights itself and catches up. I personally imagine something similar happening with Marty, but as the ripples fan out, he starts to remember some things of this original LP Marty whose place he took. It's all wildly confusing.

Like. Ugh, Twin Pines Marty & Doc's relationship is so important because Doc had such a profound influence on this kid just by being his friend. He had a safe place to go and a place to escape to and someone to vent at and someone who looked at him and went kid, you're not an idiot, you can accomplish great things if you just try and it was their similar situations that really drove them even closer and I just can't let that go for the alternate LP timeline. Their meeting would've been different; Marty's parents there were more attentive, they were happier, they echoed the advice given to them by Marty who received it from Doc in TP and I don't want to just push that all aside.

I want them to sort through these memories and things together damn it and I have the power I am going to make it so

Idk man thinking about Caleb and Astrid and breakdowns. How the one time we see her have a breakdown it's so neat and quiet and private in contrast to Caleb's messy, public, even violent breakdowns. Do you think she looks down on him for not being able to control it? Do you think she resents him because Trent still wants him back even after all of it and she could never get away with something like that (does the specter of the hysterical woman keep her up at night)? Does she envy him because that's what freed him? And does that just cause the resentment to pile even higher because she could never allow herself to fall to pieces like that? Because someone has to stay in control. Someone has to keep it together.

You could play with the dirty part of the canon description by having Slash and his people roll in mud to hide their scent.

Parts of the Code labelling using weapons/traps as dishonorable could have started as agreements made that Slash's people wouldn't keep using their old tactics, maybe forced on Thunder's Clan to keep them from becoming too powerful, if they DID fuse.

I'm more liable to just remove the "dirty" thing entirely honestly; I just think it's so shitty I'd like to nuke it from orbit, you get me? Every single time they want you to hate someone, they make them fat and/or stinky. I'd rather just put that kind of rhetoric in the mouths of cats like Clear Sky and The Wind Runner, a lie to demonize their enemies, not really based on truth.

I think I might take the trap stuff though; that actually fits in nicely with how ThunderClan's the only one that uses spears. I won't have it be code yet, though, that's going to come a lot later. First two commandments of the code are Borders + Mercy, followed by Law 3 when Riverstar dies in some decades.

You excuse yourself as you rush past everyone at the event, and Tim gives you no chance to escape, having the bodyguard stop you. You halt as they hold a hand in front of the door, and Tim's fingers wrap around your wrist, forcing you to turn to him.

"I'm sorry." He blurts. "I'm sorry." He repeats.

You blink incredulously at him. "No way you stopped me just to say that.

"I did." He whispers. "I miss you so much. I never dated the people I was on the news with. I didn't do anything with any of those people, and neither did I like any of them genuinely. I just thought that if I stirred up enough trouble, you would text me out of frustration. I wasn't expecting you to break up with me." His voice cracks, breaking into a whisper. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't cut it, Tim." You hiss. "Now, let me go before I report you."

"You won't." He stares into your eyes, gaze piercing your soul.

"Let me go." You mumble, pulling your wrist from his grip. "Leave me alone. Tim, I'm tired."

and Tim watches as you leave again, fingers twitching at his side as he excuses himself.
